The Ma3stro Himself
Even I need to get some of my own musical ideas out there every now and again.
Do you hear them?
In terms of production, this track is a fantastic showcase of how I can balance so many different elements in a song. Strings, brass, guitars, EDM drums, sound recordings, multiple layers of vocals all with different effects, and even some sound design. Creatively speaking, this was a great way to get out some of my thoughts in regards to the political climate at the time.
Heart Race
This track has a much larger focus on various effects (especially distortion). The main lead that plays throughout is actually a rock organ and the “guitar” sounding lead at the end is actually my own voice which is forcibly auto-tuned to create its unique sound. Other than that, it was just a fun song to make as I could really let loose with my vocals as well as my production techniques.
Welcome to the Rhapsody
Very much in the style of a modern musical theatre number, “Welcome to the Rhapsody” is meant to showcase all of what I can do musically. The vocals, playing, writing, production, mixing, mastering, cover art, and even the video on YouTube were all done by me, the Ma3stro himself. This is the first major release under the Ma3stro moniker.
Ma3stro Mix EP
During the first half of the 2018 season of Pop Analysis, I created a series of orchestral mock-ups of the songs we analyzed. They were released on YouTube over a six month period but can now by enjoyed all on one release. All the arrangements are done note for note, meaning that they are quite literally what was in the original song played within in a standard orchestral instrumentation. If you ever wondered what the likes of Zedd, Drake, or Maroon 5 would sound like with an orchestra, now you can hear it for yourself.
